2016 - 2017 Executive Board

Lauren Bouman - President
​

Lauren is a third-year student majoring in Economics with a double minor in Mathematics and Media Studies. This is her second year working with the Undergraduate Women in Economics Challenge and second year as the President of the Undergraduate Women in Economics Club.

Other Involvement:

In addition to UWE, Lauren is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, a member of the Order of Omega Honor Society, a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society, an ambassador for the College of Liberal Arts, the former Economics Club President, and serves as the Director of Internal Operations for CSU Miracle.

Lauren is a junior double-majoring in Economics and Cultural Anthropology and minoring in International Development and Math. She is in her third semester as Secretary of UWE and loves to be part of such an important initiative--both at CSU and nationally.

 

Other Involvement:

Lauren also works at TILT as a Study Group Leader for Principles of Microeconomics. This role allows her to combine her passion for working with others and her field of study.

Kristen is a fourth year student double majoring in Economics and Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. This her second year working with the Undergraduate Women in Economics Challenge and second year as the Vice President of the Undergraduate Women in Economics Club. 

 

Other Involvement:

In addition to UWE, Kristen is currently the President of the Business Diversity and Leadership Alliance, the Tutor Coordinator of the Academic Advancement Center, a member of the Risk Management Association, and is a honors student. Previously at CSU, Kristen was a Ram Welcome Leader, a member of the President's Leadership Program, and was a mock interviewer for the Career Management Center. Kristen also completed an internship at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City during the summer of 2016.

Laura is a junior with a double major in Computer Science and Statistics and a minor in Economics. She is in her second year working as Event Coordinator for the Undergraduate Women in Economics club at CSU. Laura is passionate about gender equality inside and outside of the classroom

Other Involvement:

Laura also leads CSU's chapter of ACM-W, a club dedicated to advocating for women in technology-related fields. 

Janice is a senior this year getting a double major in economics and Spanish. This is Janice's first year with UWE and she loves getting involved with a club that is so passionate about economics, and has similar interests as her.

 

Other involvement:

Janice is also involved in Spanish Club, and has worked with firms like Forester's Financial and Senior Benefit Services in order to develop as a professional.

Caroline is a third-year Economics and Natural Resource Tourism Major. This is her second year participating in the UWE Club. Her first year she held the position of Secretary and then took on the role of Treasurer for year two. 

 

Other Involvement:

Caroline is also the Event Coordinator for the CSU Snowboard Team. She plans to continue studying Ski Industry Management post graduation and hopes to find a career in the mountain resort industry. 

Adiam is a third-year student studying Economics and Sociology with an International Development Interdisciplinary minor. Adiam has been a member of Undergraduate Women in Economic for almost two years and is currently serving as one of the Public Relations Chairs for the club.

 

Other involvements:

In addition to UWE, Adiam is a Student Ambassador for the Colorado State University’s Career Center  and a peer mentor for first year African American college students.
